Nancy A. Barone
- Prior to Nancy Barone’s, B.S.N., M.S.N., M.B.A., FACHE, current role as Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at University Hospital, part of UC Health, Nancy held the position of Vice President, Executive Operations Director at University Hospital, consulted as Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky and served the St. Luke Hospitals, Northern Kentucky, in various capacities. During her tenure there, she held such positions as chief executive officer, senior vice president, vice president of patient services, director of nursing, and assistant director of nursing.
- Ms. Barone received her M.B.A. from Thomas More College, her M.S.N. from Bellarmine University, her M.S. post-graduate certificate in education from Bellarmine University, and her B.S.N. from Northern Kentucky University. She holds Fellow status in the American College of Health Care Executives.
- Ms. Barone has been nominated for and has received multiple awards. In 2003, the Cincinnati Business Courier named her a Health Care Hero finalist. In 2004, the Cincinnati Enquirer named her one of the ten “Women of the Year”. She was named “Visionary of the Year” by the Northern Kentucky Recorder newspapers, and one of Northern Kentucky's Most Influential People by the Challenger NKY Newspaper. In September 2006 Ms. Barone was awarded the 2006 Gallery of Distinguished Graduates from Bellarmine University and Italian-American Sons & Daughters Award. In 2008 she received the A. Morris Cecil Award and the Northern Kentucky Research Collaborative. In 2009, Nancy received an Inspirational Leadership Award.
- In addition to NKU Board of Regents, Ms. Barone serves on a number of other boards such as SOAR and Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky.
